I picked up a bag of uthermo 8 from Evan two weeks ago (thanks Evan!), and am planning to build some panels for my place.
The long piece of green isotherm which I nailed to the wall on my first reflection point is getting old quickly - the green fuzz simply doesn't blend well with my other furniture :sulky:
There are many plans on the web for making these panels, but most of them are on the fugly side of barely acceptable looking.
I don't much appreciate a panel where the entire thing is wrapped in some fabric - it just looks cheap and DIY.
So, my plan is to build some panels which are covered in a nice fabric, but then has a solid wood frame around it (kind of like a picture frame) with bevelled and edges and some good clean mitre joints on the corners. I am thinking of using a chocolate brown textured weave fabric for the "grille" part, and some white beech (light color) for the frame.
If anyone is interested in my documenting the process in building mine, then post here, and I will create the build thread.
Cheers,
Ian.
