Buying and selling cars privately

I much prefer to buy directly from the owner without WeStealCars hiding all the defects and adding their 50% markup. Many years ago there was a good proportion of private sellers on Autotrader, not anymore. Gumtree ... dealers only. Same with FB Marketplace. So where do people buy and sell cars privately these days?
