Probably a bit of a misleading title, but really didn't know how else to word it. While indulging in my other hobby of cars, I've now come across four models of cars that were engineering in South Africa and received international critical acclaim. These are

- BMW 745i (Circa Early 80's - This this was the E23 Shape)
- Toyota 1.8 SE Corolla (TRD) ~ 1982.
- Ford Capri Pirahna (mid 70's). This was done by Basil Green Ford who are still in business. The car was so powerful that it was eventually banned from competing !!
- BME E30 333i. Cause BMW didn't want to send us the M3 !
