CDP hook up question

I'm finally connecting my recently purchased NAD C521BEE cdp into my Onkyo HT setup.
I guess its a no brainer but I just wanted a confirmation on this please
Better to connect the cdp from the digital out to one of the 'ins' on the receiver or better to use the L+R from cdp to receiver?
