Having traveled widely outside SA I'm proud to state that we live in an absolutely stunning country - making up with natural beauty what it perhaps lacks in other spheres.
That being said - I'm embarrassed to admit that there are quite a few areas in SA that I've not visited - the above mentioned one example.
Any Forumites who've gone for the real Sound of Silence and been to the Richtersveld? Any tips? Yes, 4WD compulsory as I understand, but could you do it alone without being Bear Grylls? Any amenities/ accommodation except your self pitched tent?
