Cheap and decent DIY speaker kit from the UK / SA

Hi all,
So, I have a friend here who's go a fairly tight budget but an avid sound lover. He's quite keen to test his DIY ability with a built it yourself speaker kit, Ian's LitL build + T class amp would be perfect.

Does anyone have any suggestions what I can check out either from home in SA or from the US / UK?

We can get and cut wood here, no probs with that. He needs an amp too so I think the little T class amp is ideal, it's cheap and good.
