There are 100 thousand cartridges on the market and every international and national review will give you 1000 reasons to buy or not to buy a specific phono cartridge. I own a LP 12 and have decided that the best buy currently is a tossup between the Sumiko Blackbird and the Ortofon Rondo Bronze. The prices are more or less the same and I don?t want to spend a fortune on cartridges. I have spoken a couple of times to my friends at HFX and would agree that the Blackbird?s lower end definitionss are not properly defined (I have listened to a blackbird), although the midrange details and high end details are superb. I must admit I have never listened to a Ortofon Rondo Bronze. I currently own a Sumiko EVO III. Can any expert provide some advice here?
