Class D amps Vs Class AB

So when it comes to the ultimate accuracy and smoothness in Vocals which is the better option?

As i see there have been quite alot of manufacturers going the class D route for amps.

Are they just giving into what the market wants?..

Ie,Small Footprint and Less Demands On Electrical System?
