I have a VA Predator which stands on top of my equipment rack for proper ventilation. It does gather much dust inside though through the ventilation slots as we live in Langebaan, and the area is sandy, and the fine sand/dust here helped by high winds will penetrate deep space if it could. Now, a hosepipe and pressure washer may work, but....
My first Q is, how serious should I regard the layer of dust?
How often should I bother to clean it...when I cannot see e.g. the colour bands on resistors....or when I can no longer recognise the individual components?
Then, a soft (very) e.g. paintbrush and then compressed air to clean or will I do more evil than good? How then?
I just think that keeping it kind of clear from a (thick-ish) layer of dust inside will probably be better for heat dissipation....the amp gets used well and gets warm....I am not the 'quiet neighbour' of the area >
Advice would be appreciated
