2 years ago I spent a lot of time with @Karabo C installing acoustic treatment in my room. We build very thick corner bass traps in the front wall and installing acoustic panels in most of the earky reflection points.
The only place that was not treated is the ceiling which has some slap echo. I know too much absorption can kill the room but would like to experiment with some absorption in the ceiling to kill the reflections that comes from there. I spent some time this afternoon building some frames for the cloud panels. I hope to find time to finish them in the coming 2 weeks and hang them on the ceiling. Depending on how this will come out I may leave it as is or invest in some diffusers to replace some absorbers in case the room is too dead. I unfortunately don’t have a he capability to do room acoustic measurements but will rely on the ear to evaluate the impact.
