Looking for info on Control4. I have a multi-channel, multi-zone amp, I can connect source devices to the various inputs and speakers to the different zone outputs, and via the front screen and controls, I can 'steer' the inputs to the required outputs, but it is rather tedious to do,
I also have a controller, and I know that with that I can program it to do what the front panel controls do and then access the settings from their cellphone app. But, any of the apps or software downloads require an installer ID and password to activate and use them.
Is there no way that a user can fiddle and experiment without having to use the services of an installer? ...and if not, what is the minimum that the installer would need to do before they could authorise a user ID and password to access the software?
