customs costs?

I've purchased couple shirts from online from a UK store (first time). I spent roughly R1500 and my import costs came to R1200! This was via skynet. Customs VAT was R303, duties R629 and admin R200...

They also sent me some high value clearance letter.


Does this sound right?
