I?m fairly new to the hifi game, after a few years of playing and appreciating music I decided to delve into the hifi hobby.
At the moment my system is focused around an Arcam a28 running into a set of Dali Ikon 6?s (the Mk 1?s). I chose the Dali?s as they are known for being quite ?excitable? which pairs well with the Arcam?s neat presentation. The Arcam extracts a fantastic level of detail, and carefully presents it (sometimes too carefully)
Coming to the sharp end of my question, I?m looking to add a little excitement to my system, especially on the digital source (apple TV). I?ve been looking quite extensively at DAC?s, like the Maverick D2 or the Schiit Bitfrost, however I?m not convinced this will actually solve my problem.
I feel like I?m groping around in the dark with an ever increasing number of light switches to choose from, should I instead be looking at something like a tube power amp or buffer stage? Some wiser advice would be highly appreciated
