I remember the SACD replaced CD for serious audio lovers and see DSD is a newer standard. You can buy standalone players for these however I am sure people are using streaming services like IDAGIO for classical music and a quality DAC. I am curious which ones would work well with an iPhone or are people more interested in dedicated devices that connect directly to the Internet.
I connected my iPhone directly to my preamp and it sounds terrible. My old Sony CD players is a lot better. I have a Sony MZ-RH1 minidisc recorder which may be ok. The OLED is going on this.
