I don't think I have a problem with my mains, but am curious about the engineering and hope there are a few electrical engineers / AC experts who can shed light on this point.
My assumption is that Eskom mains in JHB (Esp in our old suburb with wrecked transformers) may be noisy and / or inconsistent in their frequency / voltage output and that there may be times when the mains sine wave flattens.
We have a decently sized hybrid solar system with PV and batteries feeding DC into an 8kw single phase grid tied Sunsynk inverter.
I frequently shut down our grid input and enjoy living off grid (F Eskom and City Power).
I dont have an oscilloscope to assess mains waveforms.
My questions:
Idea:
If all audio equipment had the same DC input voltage, could one build a dedicated DC output for audio equipment in your listening room which eliminates AC back and forth?

My questions:
- Does a sunsynk inverter tranform the DC inputs (PV and LiFePO4 battery) into a "good" "clean" AC sine wave for the house (for my Rotel RB990, SMSL DAC and PC)?
- If I allow the grid to feed in and we draw from the grid, would the Inverter filter, clean up or supplement the Grid supply if it is supplied with an imperfect sine wave?
- Does the inverter work as a power conditioner?
- Are there ideal voltage and frequency settings for the inverter to optimise for audio?
- Are there any other inverter settings to be aware of which may affect AC mains supply relevant to audio?
