DSTV freezing when "shaker" is turned on

Hi guys and girls.

My sister has got one of those shaker exercise machine things. It only makes me itch but what the hell.
Anyway when she turns on the machine in her room, the decoder in the lounge freezes. Then she has to do what Eskom does best. . . pull the power.

Does anybody have an idea on what could be the problem? Its only above a certain RPM that it starts affecting the decoder. Its quite a distance from her room to the lounge.
