I have bought a used Unison research Unico integrated amplifier. I owned one briefly in 2002 whilst living in the UK. As far as I know this is the only unit in SA.
This amplifier drives my B&W 805 Matrix speakers very nicely, filling out the base. The base is tight and tuneful.
I am new to valve world so some questions.
Amp is about 8 years old, do the valves need replacing?
If so where can I get ECC82(12AU7 - 5814A) valves in SA?
Do the valves degrade over time like most people seem to think?
