Enveloping Soundstage

Hi all,I have spent alot of time with speaker placement,I have a pair of Tannoy xt6 bookshelf speakers but cannot get the enveloping "3d" soundstage I am looking for.Any help with this from fellow forumites is highly welcomed with regards to what my next steps should be.
