As some will remember, I posted last week that I was considering purchasing a complete new set up and today I am very happy to say that I am now a proud owner of a Polk/Onkyo system which has so far met and exceeded all of my expectations. Even though I decided to go the new route I appreciate all the advice which was passed on to me in the forum.
The reason for my post is to commend Vaughan at Smartlifestyle for exceptional customer service throughout the sales process. Since my initial conversations with Vaughan he has offered me objective and honest advice, has willingly answered all of my questions/concerns (many of which would be laughable to those experienced with AV) and has made every effort to ensure that I understand the various alternatives and their respective pros and cons.
Being based in JHB and Vaughan in CT I was concerned that the sale would come with a fair share of delays and glitches but once I had decided to go ahead with the purchase Vaughan was able to get the components delivered to my home address, and the cables flown up from CT within 2 days! (He would have managed it within 1 day but unfortunately I was unable to get off work).
As could have been predicted I made a few mistakes in setting the system up. After struggling fruitlessly I took Vaughan up on his offer for advice and gave him a call. Within a few minutes he had correctly diagnosed my error and I was up and running. Vaughan has gone the extra mile by offering his assistance and guidance post sale and has even offered to take assist during out of business times.
His approach to customer service and client relationships is rare. Exemplary service and one very happy customer! I recommend his services wholeheartedly.
