Expensive gear sold at discounted prices...

Hi guys,

I was wondering about this for some time now after seeing some very good and sometimes very expensive gear being sold at very discounted prices....and sometimes the prices are bumped even lower....my question...why would one buy expensive gear in the first place if you are going to be unhappy with it after some time....and sometimes that time is a couple of months....?
