Greetings everyone, I am seeking expert opinion on the following matter. I have found SACD downloads that upon investigation, turn out to be old analogue tape recordings from the 60's and 70's, upsampled to a higher resolution and then converted to DSD and magically turned into SACDs.
My question is, can an old analogue recording become a much better recording once it is digitally converted into a higher resolution or is this process of turning an audio pint pot into a quart pot a scam?
