I read this article yesterday, about field coil drivers.

In short, the tech is really old. An electromagnet is used in the driver in stead of a permanent magnet. He claims to hear a serious difference with the field coil drivers, and goes into a bit of detail as to why that could be so.
I didn't find anything in the forum about it, and was wondering whether anyone has speakers that uses such drivers, and want to comment on the sound, perhaps? Do you know if any equipment that gets sold with such drivers?
