Hi Guys
Just got my microserver this week and I need to purchase a graphics card, load in more ram and hard disks. As this is a microserver and not a full on computer I'd like to keep the power footprint low wherever I can. I would like to use Linux probably Ubuntu and prefer not to raid the hdd's. The microserver is intended for NAS and HTPC duties. I've found quite a few threads about hardware.
So far my options for a graphics card are Sapphire ATI 6540 Flex (Flex does Eyefinity via hardware instead of the Display Port. Its low profile but I don't know if it will fit), 7750 LP and 6670 LP all of which have been tried on the N54l or previous gen and worked. As for actual power consumptions I don't really know much about that. I wouldn't want to toast the 150w power supply but I also wouldn't like any gpu stutter or the cpu flat-lining because its processing gpu related activities.

Sapphire TDP specs:-

Here's a list of TDP's. Some cards are 2D & 3D so they wont be reaching max TDP with 2D loads:-

As for the ram I'd like to do 16 gigs for VM's but will most likely settle for 8 gigs to save power. And for the hdd's I'm not quite sure. It all depends on hdd prices. Want to get 2 x 2tb drives as I don't have alot of files and I will probably save 5w per drive bay not used.
What hardware configs do you guys have? (Would you also list brand and model numbers)
