I have come across this NOS Glanz MC cartridge with a removable stylus. Please forgive my dodgy photography "skills", the picture does no justice to its superb, brand new condition....
However, it seems as if the "suspension" of the cantilever has collapsed! At the right settings and even under the lightest load possible, it simply settles down until the stylus body touches the LP - and then it sounds horrible....
I have no expertise in this field, so I am polling the forum for opinions and advice, please:
- Can the suspension be fixed?
- Is it worth the effort?
- Is it worth the cost?
