Got this system from a friend over 20 years ago and they ran well for about a year and then one mono block stopped working. Put them into stortage and basically walked away for about 19 years.
Now ive got the urge to get this system running again in honour of my mate who passed away a while ago.
I have opened the faulty mono block and found broken wires as if some bug had been eating the wires. They are all coming out of the toroid then out to different sections of the circuit.
Using the working mono, as a reference, i have soldered them all back again but to no avail. I need an expert in this type of amp.
The problem is a very tight chassis and all the broken wires are coming out of the toroid but then split into parts of the circuit. So its very hard to see if the wire coming out of the toriod (same colour) is being connected to the correct broken wire. ( Also same colour ) but no indication of + or -.
No all the toroid output wires are cut. Just a few.
