After months and months of kak with my Telkom line- ADSL dropping, phone too crackly to use- and dropping too, an Open Serve tech arrived after me throwing toys a bit often.
Tech moved my connection a few metres closer to the exchange. He waved a magic computer wand and I went from semi useless 4meg to 8meg (could do 10 he said), so happy as Larry until my internet dropped twice in 5 or so minutes. Before and after, clocking around 7meg download speed and .62meg upload, with little latency and jitter.
Hope that was just a late night hiccup, but wonder what else might cause it.
