Morning all,
So I finally PVR'd....thanks to the uninformed salesman at DION who told me I need a multiplexer, so I didnt but the twimLNB as I had inittially planned. He said I can call Ellies and get the twinLNB and multiplexer at a cheaper price.
Anyway..to cut a long story short, I connected the PVR(watch 1, record 1) to my old setup, called mutlichoice, they transferred everything to the new decoder..(I must say, they also do not have a clue of what they doing)....evetually they activated my PVR subscription, now I have HD channels and all.
My question to them was: "since this HD PVR is working with single LNB, why do I need a twinLNB?": as expected, I never got an answer. maybe you guys know :
My other concern is: everybody kept on telling me "the picture quality on SD channels is improved with the HD decoder", but in my case they're worse, they are terrible...they make me want to watch HD content only...... :'( :'( :'( anyone knows why this may be?
Ofcourse I will get the twinLNB installed soon, but I am puzzled.
