Hi
So i've been a lurker for a while, time to change that. It all started about 6 years ago with the classic CMOY, here's my version of it... well it needs some TLC anyway. I was just getting into it, ran sennheiser CX300's and HD497's off it for a very short while
Then I got a pair of HD595's.... whoa, that was a huge improvement, I thought it needed something better to drive them. So was bitten again by the DIY bug and built myself the PPAv2 from Tangent. Its a 3-channel headpone amp, was my first serious DIY amp.
Originally built with AD8610's then later changed to the LME49720HA's in all three channels. Its been very reliable and to this day, I'm still really very happy with it.
Fed it with this rather crude looking NOS DAC which seemed have some nice reviews
Fast forward a bit, a really nice "new" pair of headphones and i'm now working on this....
I thought the HD-595's were very good, but these new ones, in a completely different league. If you don't like holes in ur pocket, ignorance is bliss....
Cheers, looking forward to posting more as it progresses
