Just to say hello to this group from Los Angeles California. Joining the group to learn new things. I am a designer of loudspeakers and waveguides. Anything I can do in that regards I will gladly do. I am here to learn more in regards to amplifier and active crossover design. Electronic is not my strong point but I have been studying the subject and reading books by Douglas Self and Bob Cordell along with AES Journal papers. I am a member of the AES and am in Linkedin audiophile group. My background is in manufacturing and design and besides audio I have worked in the aerospace industry. I hold a now public patent in waveguide design in the US and have manufactured for JBL/Harmon Industries. Friends with one of the now retired Radian Audio compression driver designers. Also have developed my own line of loudspeakers and working on a new Beryllium dome tweeter design. If anyone needs anything from the USA let me know if I can help. I am currently working on a new desktop speaker that will contain my loudspeakers and the beryllium dome tweeter. Working on the electronic-design aspects now. Looking at a gainclone amplifier for the dome and a bridged-Parallel gainclone on the bass section. Crossover point will be at 2.5K and the bass cutoff fs will be 35hz. Cone area will equal a 6.5" loudspeaker but will not be round. Cone material is a new and unknown material to the public. I have working models of a round 6.5" version that is the basis of this design. Motor assembly is a solenoid design with extreme excursion limits.
