Good morning, I need some guidance please. I have Flac multichannel recordings (5.1 surround) which I am trying to play back as surround sound in my Denon AVR X4200W. I am feeding the signal in as a 6 channel PCM via HDMI from a media player and the amp shows it is receiving multichannel input but only the front channels play, I don't get any sound out from the center channel or the surround channels. I have checked the input volume settings on the surround channels. I have played various 6 channel Flac files on two different media players, one being a Mede8er and the problem is consistent. The AVR plays surround sound from Netflix and will play AC3 files but is unresponsive to the discrete PCM surround channels.
Any ideas please, am I doing something wrong?
