Help please (Hi Phibian or others!!)
OK - I have finally gone down the digital (home network) music route and am loving it - the convenience is amazing and so easy to find the music you may be in the mood for.
I had an under utilized Apple TV so based the system on that. My iPad is used with Remote App and works awesome. The AppleTV is used for 44/16. I intend to invest in hi def music (have a few Super Audio and DVD Audio discs so know the benefits) and have a camera connection kit for the iPad which works extremely well with the single file I have so far downloaded - many thanks to this forum and Hi Phibian for that hint!!!
So to my problem - Home Sharing. Initially had major issues with the AppleTV but that seems to have been sorted with an update about 2 months back and that side of things is absolutely stable and reliable.
The issue is the iPad (Android fan boys can leave the thread now - please no Apple V Android debates - so boring) which looses connection to Home Sharing. It is not the Remote App - Music also looses connection to iTunes. The iTunes is on a PC but seeing as the AppleTV is stable and stays connected I reckon the issue is the iPad.
The only other difference is that PC and AppleTV are connected by LAN cable to the router but the iPad (obviously) by WiFi. The WiFi on the router is slightly buggy and needs restarting periodically - but doubt these are linked.
Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.
