I know you have had this question before but here goes.
I find my Rotel integrated/Monitor Audio RX6 setup too bright and am contemplating a change.
Source is a Marantz 5007.
The room is 4.5x5m and the speakers 2.2m apart. I have repositioned the speakers and changed furniture as much as possible. Cables are van den Hul C5 (supposedly less harsh) and Clearwater.
Dire Straits, Live, U2,Eagles are very much my music taste also some classical, moderate volume.
I have 20-25k so obviously it will have to be either amp or speakers for now - it needn't be new.
So amp or speakers first, and if so what?
