As per topic - my AVR get quite hot and has limited ventilation with a mere 30mm above it in the shelf. I have no other place for it and think of installing one or more computer box cooling fans in the shelf to improve air circulation. I have an eye on a fan:-
Technical Spec:
- Overall Dimension: 80X80X25mm
- Fan Dimension: 80X80X25mm
- Net Weight: 82g
- Bearing Type: Hydro Bearing
- Rated Voltage: 12VDC
- Operating Voltage: 10.8~13.2VDC
- Started Voltage: 7VDC
- Rated Current: 0.08?10%A
- Power Input: 0.96W
- Fan Speed: 1800?10%RPM
- Max. Air Flow: 21.8CFM
- Noise: 20.3dB(A)

I wonder whether the trigger output can be used to power one or more fans?

I have checked and the trigger gives a continuous 12V, but I cannot establish whether the current will be sustained. I don't want to damage the amp's circuitry. (I am not an electronics boffin, and know but a few basics)

Advice please?
