I got an Amazon Dot a little earlier and, although very early days, quite a neat device. Biggest issue right now is that one can't set a location which means the biggest features can't be used.
But I've been checking the home automation side and think it looks interesting. I see one can get Smart WiFi switches for under R1,000 which seem far better than smart globes at R700 each!
