As per the title, how do you guys ensure that your equipment is kept cool/does not overheat when it's kept in a cabinet for example? My HT equipment is kept in an enclosed cabinet, however I do have them on sliding shelves which slide out. What are the signs that the equipment is overheating or has overheated?

I notice that my PS3 gets extremely hot and the fan goes crazy after about an hour of use, be it playing a game or watching a movie. The fan gets so noisy that I can hear it in another room. My amp gets hot, but not alarmingly hot. The PVR's (HD and SD) get extremely hot as well, but no particular signs of overheating, these are on permanently with the HD pvr on standby when not in use.

I've purchased a laptop cooler for my ps3 but it doesn't seem to do it much good though and I do pull the ps3 shelf out when in use.
