How high a voltage can Quad 2's take and still work. I did the test.

Got the typical Monday morning call "the geyser has burst, what must I do?" from the wife. :headbanger:

Get home and lights are flickering some are making strange sounds. Go to my bedroom and my Quad 2's that were switched off at the Quad pre were glowing, no wrong word they were lit up like red hot pokers.

Switched off at the wall and measured the voltage, 320 volts!!!!

Traced the problem to contactors inside our generator (after an hour), it is damaged and somehow was crossing a phase.

Anyway Quad 2's working well and sounds the same. I may have shortened there life but they look fine.

If someone like Ampdog or Winders can tell me what the long term effect will be it would be appreciated.
