HRT Music Streamer II always on 44.1k

Ok, so I've entered the world of digital file playback. I started with a HRT Music Streamer II DAC which should be able to play 96k files. However the little light always shows 44.1k no matter what I'm playing. Even sample rate of 96k still shows 44.1k on the DAC. Am I doing something wrong? Am I missing a setting?
