Hi all,
I'm currently trying out media portal and I am amazed by it's potential. Although, it's a real pain in the nuts to get working right.
What plug-ins and everything is everyone using?
For me so far:
Skins - Avalon HD - VERY PRETTY! I've yet to find other full HD skins that are doing it for me, so I guess I must keep searching the interwebs.
Plugins
- Audioscrobbler - great for pulling artist pics and the like
- Moving Pictures
- MY TV Series
- world weather
- LastFM - so cool! I can play lastFM thru media portal, and it tracks what I play from my library in last FM too
- watch.it - a nice movie / series tracker so I know what i've seen or not
- Fanart handler - great program!
My only gripes so far are:
1. configuration! Holy **** it's irritating. I can only open 1 plug-in configuration at a time. And then I can't use media portal at the same time??? Why?
2. Lack of minimise button - that sucks if I want to do other stuff in the background with my music etc playing?
3. Why does it not already pull my info that I have for my media collection (ie. I already have all my metadata, coverart, backgrounds, actor images, etc on file with the movie files), it insists on re-downloading everything and then storing it in the media portal program files not with the actual media?
