I was alone yesterday morning so I decided to try out the Technics TT I got from Tom.
I connected it to my SO's much-loved 1980 technics amp (25w) and the old Tannoys (60w). Didn't bother with testing speaker placement or anything.
I put on my once-played-only copy of "Evensong for Ash Wednesday" which has the "Pope's secret" Miserere by Allegri, sung by an all-male quartet.
Blew me to bits.
It's not often that something can honestly be described as breathtaking, but I literally had trouble breathing - I have never heard anything like that from a speaker before.
