I've been googling the topics bi-wiring (not bi-amping) and power cable upgrades to improve your system the past few days. It's probably the two most grey areas in the hi-fi world according to what i have read. Some listeners say to not waste money and others say that a power cord for instance is a better upgrade than your interconnect. Bi-wiring on the other hand is recommended by speaker manufacturers like B&W but in theory it cant improve your quality/soundstage/dynamics like some claim. Is it the fact that you get rid of the cheap speaker connector links by bi-wiring or perhaps that you get rid of a cheap multiplug running your 300W amp from thin 20gauge wire by improving your power cord and plugging it directly into the wall. I dont know.... I will start testing these two grey areas in the following weeks and will update with my findings but what do you guys think. Are these areas really that grey?
