Introduction and Question

Hi Everyone,

I am new to this forum and also new to AV. Please excuse me if I ask dumb questions.

I hope to learn allot about AV on this forum and would like to start of with the following question:

I would like to connect a playstation 3, mede8tor, dstv pvr and blu ray player with surround sound system to a LG 3D LED tv.

1. Is there a way of connecting all of the above devices without having to physically unplug anything at any given time.
2. How would I switch between devices, can I use a universal remote if so which remote brand and model?
3. Is there any extra hardware I need to make this work?
