I want to make an iPod LOD cable. I've seen lots of tutorials for very short iPod-3.5mm jack cables but I'd like to make a longer (~1m) cable with 2x RCA. Firstly, will that be a bit difficult splitting the cable into two? I don't mind just making one that terminates in a 3.5mm jack and then just using a 3.5mm - 2x RCA cable for the rest.
Either way, is there anywhere locally for me to get either the 3.5mm jack or the 2x RCA plugs and also all the cable I'll need? I don't want pure gold oxygen free cables or anything. Just cables. (And jacks and plugs.)
