Hi
After battling with a loudish hum in both channels, had a look under the bonnet and found some bad caps which was to be expected for the age of the amp, but alas, replaced these bad caps and its much happier
These were the worst ones
Hooked up, crossed fingers and hoped I didn't blow up my speakers, thankfully I got it right, no smoke, no explosions
Just awesome with the lights off
Lots of 6550's, a few 6FQ7/6CG7 and two 5751's
Cant believe despite its age, it just sounds amazing... highly recommended. Next up, replace some carbon film resistors and some others elsewhere, but may need some help identifying the right type.
