On a chat group I boasted I could get true high end sound for R50k. Let's say we use Doep's Duntech Baron D300's as a cornerstone. That is R12k. Add a forgotten muscle amp from Krell, Class?, Jeff Rowland, Mark Levinson ... You get the idea. Around R20k. Direct digital DAC/Pre from Bel Canto or Wadia, NAD M51 if you are lucky. Say R8k. That leaves R10k for some van den Hull or Kimber cables and maybe a Furman power conditioner.OK, I'm missing room correction but that R50k system will kick serious ass.
What would do with a clean slate and R50k to spend?
