Ten years ago for my 50th I bought an entry level Sony 5.1. Hit the big 60 this week and have been thinking of lifting the level. Prefer a good stereo set with floors standers due to architecture of our open plan lounge and my favourite chair position. Mainly for music rather than movies. Had a pair of Kef bookshelf speakers 40 years ago and enjoyed the warmth of the sound. What would you guys recommend? Have never heard but been looking at the Kef C7, Q500 and iQ 9 on the forum. Would I need a sub with these? Would appreciate some input from Kef lovers. Have about R7000 to R8000 as a starting budget for a pair of seconds.
