Hi there, I recently posted about the loss of my HiFi and would like to take this opportunity to thank all the members, retailers and users alike, for all their help and advice.
I have been scouring the web in anticipation of the insurance co settling my claim for a new (secondhand or new) HiFi - CDP, Pre amp, Power amp and floorstanders - and have come to the realisation that while there is a lot of good stuff advertised, there is also a lot of equipment that shops and people have that isn't advertised but is up for sale.
The question is, how would you spend 40k on a HiFi given what you see advertised currently or knowing what other members are selling but not have advertised?
I am very seriously contemplating buying a pair of Vandersteen C2 as the start of the new set up - beyond that, I am lost...
please feel free to weigh in with any ideas or thoughts - i may need to pull the trigger on this within a week.
Thanks in advance...
