Firstly ... apologies for my indecisiveness... I posted before asking for advice for suggestions between the
QUAD QC24 preamp and the E.A.R. 834L preamp. I'm still not sure about the decision because it's my first foray into valves and I can't afford to blow R5000-6000 on a wrong purchase.
I'm looking for a good valve preamp to run with my Quad 99 monoblocks and MF A3 CDP. Does anyone have one to sell? Or should I choose between the Quad and the E.A.R.?
Ideally want to spend no more than R5500. First prize would be to trade my Yamaha AS500 in, but this is not an absolute must.
Not too concerned about a phonostage.
