I have a few questions on my solar system. It was installed just after load shedding stopped. It has a Deye inverter with Solarman Smart data logger and used AGM batteries that are programmed to discharge only when the grid fails. The batteries worked as intended during a short municipal supply failure.
Average power used has increased by about 200W (25-30%) since installation. Is this the power used by the inverter? The inverter has cooling fans and always feels rather warm to the touch.
The “Self Used Ratio” is about 95%. Where does the remaining 5% go?
Energy Purchased read from Solarman is about 5% less than the pre-paid meter. Why?
Note the AGM batteries will be replaced with LiFe when spending priorities permit
