Hello Gents. Question to all you fundis. My 2Tb drive has now died on me. It think it was just over 2 years old and was actually a warranty replacement for a previous drive that was just under 2 years old. Both were Seagate drives. I use the drive in my HTPC to store music and videos. The pc is only switched on about 3 times a week for between 1 - 3 hours.
Question is am i having bad luck, am I doing something wrong or is this the general life expectancy of large drives(my primary drive is the original 500Gig and has lasted the 5 years). the cost of the drive is one thing, but loosing all that data is :cr@p:
