I've been very interested as of late in all the talk about Vivid Audio and their magical speakers. Considering the B1s. However, one thing that seems to be a large differentiator is the volume everyone listens at. Specifically :

Listening time. Mine is always late night, when it is dead quiet. Hence the requirement for a quiet listening area. No fans or hums.
Music. Typically at night the smoother jazz or blues.
Volume.  Low. Quite often very low, but soundstage still needs to be present.

Based on that parameters, would it be fair to say that vivids would in fact not be the right choice with my Quads being the perfect fit? They were one voted best late night speakers after all.

What volume do you listen at?  Yes, Walker always said there was a correct volume for each musical piece but for me, not so much into blowing the windows out...
